Ingredients for making salad of green tomatoes, carrots and onions
- Green tomatoes 2 kilograms
- Onions 600 grams
- Carrot 450 grams
- Parsley root 150 grams
- 5 cloves garlic
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Water 1 liter
- Vinegar 10% 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Salt 2 tablespoons
- Mustard (seeds) 1 teaspoon
- Allspice 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper 1 teaspoon
To each jar
- Bay leaf 1-2 leaves
- Dill umbrella 1 piece
- Main ingredients: Onion, Carrot, Tomato
Saucepan, cans, tablespoon, soup ladle, kitchen knife, cutting board.
Step 1: chop the tomatoes.
Rinse and dry the tomatoes.
Tear off the green ponytails from them.
Cut the tomatoes into thin slices.
Step 2: chop the onion.
Peel the onion and cut into feathers. Garlic - sliced.
Step 3: chop parsley and carrots.
Peel the carrots and parsley root, wash and cut into thin circles.
Step 4: Cook the vegetables in the marinade.
In a large skillet, mix all the ingredients for the marinade. Boil and add tomatoes, onions, carrots, parsley root, garlic and spices into it.
Wait until it boils all together and simmer over moderate heat for 15 minutesstirring occasionally.
Rinse parsley, chop finely and add to the marinade to vegetables. Remove everything from the fire.
Step 5: lay out the banks.
Arrange bay leaves and dill umbrellas in clean, sterile jars, then fill them with a hot salad of green tomatoes.
Pasteurize together in a saucepan or oven for 15 minutes, and then tightly tighten the jars and, putting them upside down, cool under a plaid. After which the salad can be stored at room temperature. But keep an open jar in the refrigerator.
